Introduction

If you could dream up the wildest adventure imaginable what would it be?  Between jobs, craving travel and drawn to extremes, I decided to indulge the challenge.  Welcome to shecyclesolo.com.  My name is Maree Stephenson and this is what I conjured:

I am cycling around the world in 1080 days.  Unsupported I will cross Asia, Europe, Americas and Africa from 1/12/2011 to 14/11/2014.

Asia is the first cycle leg.  I fly out Brisbane 1/12/11 and arrive Chiang Mai 2/12/11.  1080 days later I fly into Brisbane from Cape Town 14/11/14.

I am so drawn to this challenge. Certain things I can plan for but mostly each day will unfold.  There’s something very appealing about this.  I hope to capture the raw story through word, audio, photographs and video and share the adventure with you.

I’m  not sure what will happen but it’ll be a good read.   Look for post updates or register via email at http://www.shecyclesolo.com

Enjoy the ride.  Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.  Live the life you’ve imagined, H D Thoreau.
